Agnieszka Jachym

A dancer, choreographer. After receving her professional dancer diploma in 2012, she danced in Temporaere Theater, Tanzcompagnie Giessen, the Polish Dance Theater. In 2018, there was a premiere of her piece Getto krakowskie in Teatr Nowy Proxima.
Since 2021 she has been cooperating with Sasha Waltz & Guests (In C, SYM-PHONIE MMXX, Kreatur). In 2022, she received the Creative Scholarship of the City of Krakow for the The HUNGRY Ones which premiered at the Łaźnia Nowa Theatre.

The HUNGRY Ones is primarily a reportage about a man. It’s a conversation about life and the decisions we make every day or over which we had no influence. Looking at selected streets of Krakow, whose empty sidewalks turn into a crowded space at appropriate times of the day, we wonder about the fate of malnourished people. Does providing them with food guarantee a better future? How easy is it for us to throw away leftovers from our own plates or get rid of expired products?
