OdRuchu Theatre was set up on 7 January 2017 at the Department of Dance Theatre in Bytom. We combine various stage forms - dance, movement, word. Our plays speak of what is important, up-to-date and timeless. We do not distinguish between performing actors and dancers; rather we use one word: actor-dancer. We want to create a world where the boundary between words and dance is blurred. Thanks to our work, for several years viewers from Poland have become acquainted with a stage form in which words and dance play equal parts.

Performance synopsis

Some say that everything is better in Scandinavia. The food tastes better, the boys are more handsome and the Baltic seems to be warmer. Meanwhile on the other side of the Vistula, we witness a posthumous birth of a Polish Adonis. One day the fast-flowing current of the river carried six seemingly unrelated people to suddenly washed them ashore – on the other side.
