Szymon Tur

Born in 1999. A queer movement artist, actor-dancer, performer, and choreographer. Member of the informal collective PLUR. Graduate of the Dance Department at Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. Shortly after graduating, he took part in the performance Everyminute Motherland choreographed by Maciej Kuźmiński, conceived as an act of resistance against Russia’s aggression toward Ukraine. He explores movement as a form of resistance, as well as a way of creating new forms of intimacy.

Mary had a little dope, not too strong and white as snow. Then poor Mary took it all, down goes Mary, here we go… Poland, year 201X. Designer Drugs Epidemic. The State Sanitary Inspectorate raps about their hazards, and a new trend of anti-drug poetry is spreading in schools all over Poland. Roses are red, corpses are blue. You pay for the dope, and you get grave too…
