Mateusz Wójcik

Mateusz Wójcik – a graduate of the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance. Creator, choreographer, and manager of the Hear the Dance project. He was the first Pole to have the honor of performing as a member of Riverdance and with The Chieftains. A dancer in the lead lineup of the American show Rhythm in the Night. A soloist and captain of the dancers in Night of the Dance, a dancer in Touch of Ireland and Celtic Dream, and an independent artist collaborating with companies from Poland and abroad.

HEAR THE DANCE is a unique dance project based on varied forms of percussive dance: Irish step dance, flamenco, tap dance, contemporary dance, and ethnojazz music. It is a colourful performance where dance is an integral part of the music, different cultures meet on one stage and tradition and contemporaneity become synonymous. Since 2014, the project has featured more than 100 shows with over 60 artists from 8 countries including a core troupe and guest appearances.
