Iwona Olszowska is a dancer, choreographer, improviser and a faculty member at the Music Academy in Łódź, as well as a Somatic Movement Educator in Body Mind Centering. She works with the Academy of Movement, co-creating the Stage Choreography course, as well as the Circulation Academy, Barefoot, realising the body-awareness program, and with contact improvisation festivals in Poland and around the world. She also gives somatic classes to companies such as the Polish Dance Theatre and Carte Blanche. She creates solo and collaborative work in the field of contemporary dance theatre and site-specific work. Having presented her work in Poland and abroad, she recently founded the group 45 plus.
